Valley Thunder Football takes great pride in the mental and physical development of our lineman. We have found that plus size student athletes in our game are often under coached and unrecognized. The need for these kids to be conditioned and discipline all year round is extremely important to their success in the classroom and in life. With support from the Gold Coast Youth Football league, our conference weight structure provides a place were these often future college bound athletes can establish a proper football foundation, without having to play against players who are significantly older and more mature. Early football development can help to create a safer and more knowledgeable player as they make the transition from middle school to high school.
Our Foundation Includes:
Stance (4,3) : Footwork : Takeoff : Individual & Combo Blocks (base, reach, down, cut-off, etc.) : Pass Blocking (drop back, vertical sets, play-action) : Speed, Agility, and Quickness : Film Study of Individual Technique : Group Work (Whole line schemes, Alignment and Team work), Proper Nutrition, Character Building and more.
